Add microsft teams link in sharepoint menu for external users

Hi all,

Is it possible to add a microsoft teams link in sharepoint menu for external users ?

If the external user loses his mail with his access to the microsoft teams project, he can not return to his space.

Do you have any solutions ?

Thanks in advance

  • Hi all

    I hope to help.

For Access to Teams as guest user (Web Access, Teams web app) for another Teams of another Tenants, you need to use this link:

    https://teams.microsoft.com/_?tenantId=<tenantid(xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx)>

I tested it and Works fine in my case. I have Access to another teams of another tenants and I put different links to a SharePoint site and when I use these links, the system says "Do you want to change to <another tenant>? You may need to log in again", press yes and you Access to Teams of the other tenant.

The tenant ID appears as part of the invitation link sent by email.

    Bye.

  • Not sure If I follow you here: are you aware you can customize a Teams site navigation to add the link to the Team?

All they need to remember is Teams.microsoft.com to get to your team. However you can edit quick launch bar on the Sharepoint site and under url type is teams that will add a link right to the Team. You can take this link and send it to others in the team as well. Just make sure the people using the link are in the team. Otherwise it just opens teams to their default team.
