A question on future hub sites

Based on what's been shared so far I have a question on how news from sites will behave after hub sites are deployed. Today, team or communication sites rollup to news from sites but how will this work in the future? Since a hub site is based on a team or communication site will a hub site 'supress' associated sites from reporting to news from sites on SharePoint Home? Is there potential for duplicate entries? Is this something Mark-Kashman or Andy Haon is able to address today? Thanks!
  • Hub site will default to rolling up news from all the associated sites (with ability to choose specific sites that either belong to the hub or not). User will also be able to create news on the hub site itself (with proper permissions)

In SP Home news, we will treat each site as an independent source (whether it's hub or not), which means that you'll get news based on your activity on individual sites (with following being the explicit signal). So no duplication will happen.

Does that answer you question? Any concerns?

Thanks Alina. This answers my question exactly. Many thanks for your clarification. I'm excited for hub sites and I look forward to using them broadly. Kind Regards.
