502 Bad gateway errors in Government SharePoint Online cloud

Hi,

While working on OOTB News Web Part (in Modern Site) on Government SharePoint Online tenant, I am having following issues:

- The thumbnails of News item header doesn't show up in list view. But on the news page, the header image shows up.
- In the edit mode of the News Web Part, when I select "Select sites" option under "Select a news source", it keeps on trying to fetch sites (showing the rotating image) but no sites show up.

When I looked under the developer tools in IE, I find out that the following two web services are getting 502 Bad Gateway errors. Please see the attached screenshots for the errors.

But I don't get any issue when I tested the exact same functionality on non-government SharePoint Online tenant. In both tests, there was a blank site page with just one News Web Part on the Modern Site.

I would really appreciate if anyone can help me in this issue.
