Resource Question

Hello, I put all my separate projects into my schedule with them all being under the main project (have example project included). They have not been inserted but rather built out in the schedule. Because the schedule has been built out, is there a way to tell how much availability the resources have left/how much availability used on one/any of the test projects? Would I need to separate them into their own schedules in order to find this? Thank You in advance

Apply the Resource Usage view. Collapese the task assignments for all of your resources. Right-click in the timephased grid (timesheet-like grid on the right) and select the Remaining Availability field. Zoom the timescale to the desired level of zoom, where Days is the initial default level of zoom. Hope this helps.

Hi Dale, thank you for the info. I realized that I never made tasks as part of the test projects and rather kept the at the same level but did make that change (pdf enclosed) so now my next question is when I choose the remaining availability, collapse them down but then open them for a specific person the tasks do show but is there a way to get the test project to show so that we know which project the person has availability for?

If you apply the Assignments Keeping Outline Structure group to the Resource Usage view, a negative consequence is that the Remaining Availability information disappears in the timephased grid. So, unfortunately, there is no way to view each project (represented by summary tasks) WITHOUT using the Assignments Keeping Outline Structure grouping. Sorry, but hope this helps.
