Project Professional 2024 and Project Server SE OIDC Authentication Issue

Hi all,

I have setup a Project Server SE Environment (SharePoint and Project Server Subscription Edition) and configured Custom Open Id Connect Server as Trusted Identity Provider.

 

Everything worked perfectly in the Project Server part from authenticating (redirecting the user to the Open Id connect server for authentication) to everything else except when I open the schedule in Microsoft Project Professional 2024 at first it opens the embedded web browser that it gives me that it can't load jQuery and Bootstrap JS files and CSS and after I enter my credentials it gives me SharePoint Error Page

    Hello fshahin90  - does opening Excel or Word documents in the Office Desktop tools work as expected from the SharePoint / PWA site?

      Hello Paul_Mather thanks for your reply I just tested it and it works that it opens the file after I enter my credentials but the embedded browser still generates error on the Java script https://youtu.be/FEFqP8X-bAM

        Hello fshahin90 ,

        The issue is a platform issue and not specific to Project, Project Server is a feature on top of the SharePoint platform. I would recommend posting this on the SharePoint Tech Community with the Excel example - if you solve that, I'm sure the Project Desktop issue will also be resolved too.
