Project Plan 3 license usage

Hi,

I'd like to know if it is possible to identify users with Project Plan 3 licenses who aren't using it.

I have more than 3k Project Plan 3 licenses, but I'm not sure if all of them are being used properly.

Thanks,

  • fbcarvalho2020 I recently developed a report to accomplish what you're after for Essentials and Plan 1/3/5 licenses.  It's not perfect, but your options are limited. I used Power BI to connect/combine the data listed below.  This is just an overview but should give you some ideas on how to accomplish what you're trying to do.

    1. Use the report Paul referenced.
    2. Audit Purview - Go here Audit - Microsoft Purview. Have your global SharePoint Admin run page view queries against specific pages within each PWA site.  For example, Project Managers would normally access the https://<PWA URL>/Projects.aspx and https://<PWA URL>/Resources.aspx pages within a PWA.  This report included a separate row with user info and date/timestamp that they accessed the page.
    3. Get a list of email addresses with assigned MSP license.
    4. Connect to PWA and retrieve list of MSP resource email addresses and whether they are active
    5. Connect to PWA and retrieve users email address assigned to the Project Managers (Project Web App Synchronized) group or any custom groups you have that Plan 3 licensed users would be assigned.
