Microsoft Project-PowerBI Integration
Good Day,
There is a need wherein we want to Visualize Microsoft Projects data on PowerBI Platform as KPI's. It is possible to integrate both these platforms but is it possible to visualize or bring in the custom column data from Projects into PowerBI.

Please can you advise if you are using Microsoft Project Desktop app standalone without Project Online etc.? If this is the case, Power BI can not directly access the data stored in mpp files.

Paul_Mather thanks a lot for helping out. We will be using Microsoft Project Desktop app as we have to add custom columns which will be around 40-50 nos. and this custom column data we want it on PowerBI

As you are using the standalone Microsoft Project desktop app that just saves data to mpp files, you'd need to find / build a solution that pushed the data from the Microsoft Project Desktop client into a central data storage that Power BI can access such as Azure SQL DBs, Data verse, SharePoint lists etc. Or look to use Microsoft Project Online, you can then use the Project Online reporting APIs in Power BI to get the data out for reports.
