All services should have a search feature - and Planner is no exception. Is this a planned feature?

This feature as been requested by may users and there is no update as of now from MSFT on when this will be available. Please cast your votes for this in user voice.

Of course 5 years passed without Microsoft ever implementing this and now UserVoice is gone. Not like it ever mattered anyway. Microsoft please implement features like this that people actually need instead of the useless crap in Windows 11.

Planner app for Android has a search option!

I'm not sure what it does search - but it EXCLUDES text in task name, task notes and task comments

UPDATE: 30+ minutes after install the planner app for Android search does get results for text in task name.
