MS Planner: Standard access should be read-only, only selected users should be able to edit
Dear all
We would like to use the Planner as a Kanban board and use it to provide people with information on the current progress of a project. It looks like the following structure (in German).
However, anyone who is not a member of the project team should not be able to make any changes to the board. In other words, we would like to make the board visible, but only changeable for certain users.
Is there a way to do this with the current version of the Planner?
And if not, does anyone know whether this could be changed with the new Planner?
Otherwise we would switch to an alternative. We have already organised similar boards with Trello for other customers, where this was possible.
Thanks & Regards
Ralf

RalfMetz Hi, it is not possible in Planner to limit the access to certain users alone. All members of the Plan will have equal access to it.

SanthoshB1 That's what I experienced so far. Do you know, if there are plans to change this? Else, the board view is as management tool to communicate and create transparency hard to use.
I know, Teams is focussed on Teams 🙂 but knowing that Teams is used for quite some time to also organise larger Units, I'm wondering if access rights have never been considered in this context.
