Contengencies for Tasks in Planner
I'm a brand new user to Planner. I have a small amount of experience with Asana. One of the features I liked about Asana was setting tasks to be contingent on the completion of another. Is that function currently available in Planner and I'm just not easily seeing it?
Thanks!!
Hi KateN,
unfortunately, Microsoft Planner does not directly support task dependencies or contingencies like Asana does.
However, you can create a sort of workaround by using the “Checklist” feature within a task to list dependent tasks. You can then track the progress of these dependent tasks within the main task.
You can also post your feature request on Microsoft Feedback Portal (Ideas · Community (microsoft.com)) or directly in Planner by clicking on Settings > Send Planner Feedback
