Can't upload files to Microsoft Planner
I cannot upload files to my team's planner. My remote team members can each upload files without any issue. I recently deleted a bunch of our buckets, so I know it's not a storage issue. I get met with a very strange error message, "we couldn't cancel your upload," and then the file gets removed from the task.
I've tried logging out/in, restarting chrome, and uploading the file from a separate location on my drive. I see https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/planner-we-couldnt-cancel-uploading-file-please/f13b7f4d-d904-4f19-9ea5-d7209ce00cc5 but it doesn't seem to offer any answers.
Would love a solution ASAP, thanks!

I have this same issue, whether I open planner up in teams, or on the browser. When I click "Add attachment" my ONLY option is "a link to a URL", which I don't want to do.
I want to be able to upload a file from my computer. Strangely, ONE time, options for file or link popped up, but I haven't gotten it to come back since then.
It's honestly the only reason why my team is consider going with another project management software.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. - LeonPavesicSilver Contributor
Hi maxkmiller,
If you are accessing Microsoft Planner from the Teams tab and experiencing issues with uploading files, I recommend trying an alternative approach. Instead of using the Teams tab, go to tasks.office.com directly in your browser.
By accessing Planner through this web interface, you should see the option to upload files from your computer. This can be a helpful workaround to address the file upload problem you're facing.

- Brian-SmithFormer EmployeeHi Max, the documents attached to Planner tasks are stored in the Group SharePoint documents folder. If you navigate to 'Files' - under the ... menu when you have the plan open in Planner web, then this takes you to the document library. Are you able to add the document there? If not it may give you a better error message to show why it failed. You can also get your tenant admin to open a support case if you need more help - that is covered by your subscription. If you can upload the document then you should also be able to select it as a document to attach to the task, once it is in the library.
Best regards,
Brian
