Cannot see Task Chat for Planner app on iPhone

Hi,

 

I am testing using the Planner app and have added a message in the Task Chat area via the web browser on a PC.

I cannot see the message on the Planner app on the iPhone. I cannot see Task Chat anywhere on the iPhone.

 

I can create a new message in the Comments section on the iPhone (in the Planner app), but cannot add comments using the web browser on a PC. The web browser wants me to use Task Chat, but cannot see that on the iPhone.

 

Am I missing something simple here?

    This feature is still missing for me too. Planner iOS app and Teams iOS apps are both missing the Task Chat feature.

    Hi, this may simply be a feature gap between Planner on the web and the iPhone app.

     

    I would check:

     

    1. Make sure the Planner iOS app is fully updated.

    2. Sign out and back in.

    3. Test the same task in Teams and Planner web.

    4. Check whether Task Chat is available only for certain plan/task types.

    5. Confirm the account has the right Planner/Teams licensing.

     

    If the message appears on the web but not in the iPhone app, I would report it through feedback in the app and include the plan type, app version, and screenshots. That makes it easier to tell whether it is unsupported or a mobile bug.

    It looks like they still haven't added chat to the mobile app, which seems like an oversight; this would be great to have working on mobile. I tried using the web interface on mobile and it's not useable.
