Sequences are seeming to be part of Online offering only and not available for on-premise version of D365. Below are the points to conclude this.
- All the MS documents including MS learn, points to Online version of D365.
- v9.1 On-premise documents don't mention about sequences. (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/whats-new?view=op-9-1)
- Both Sales insights and Sales Accelerator modules via which Sequences are available is Cloud only and licenses are cloud based too.
Unfortunately, Microsoft has stopped marking (Online/On-premise) on Doc site, seems due to the focus on Cloud first solutions and its quite hard to get single list which outlines what are part of online and on-premise offerings.
