Why is it so hard to get verified? | Microsoft Partner Center
Thanks, JillArmourMicrosoft. We'll let everyone know as soon as we find the secret ingredient. But for now, we're still stuck
All sorts of documents got requested. Rental contract, domain invoices, business registration, extract from the commercial register, ids. We submitted these documents within minutes. Only to be asked for exactly the same documents again a day later.
We have received/sent around 50 emails since August 19.
I'm facing similar challenges like many other partners trying to join the Microsoft Partner Program. Despite providing all the necessary information, including profile details, email address, and legal documents, there's been a significant delay in the employment verification process.
It's disheartening to encounter such obstacles, especially considering that partners contribute significantly to Microsoft's success by delivering 97% of the solution and developmental services.
I urge Microsoft to streamline this process and improve response times. A more efficient and supportive experience would demonstrate their commitment to working collaboratively with partners and ultimately benefit their customers.
Let's share our experiences and advocate for a smoother partner onboarding process.

CSTrainers Thank you for your feedback and I hope your verification comes through soon!
- CSTrainersSep 17, 2024Copper ContributorI am writing to express my urgent concern regarding the ongoing status of my partner application. Despite submitting all required documentation, including domain name registration receipt, D&B number, EIN, and other requested information, my application remains in the "employment verification" status.
I have repeatedly submitted the requested information, but the verification process seems to be stuck. I've attempted to seek assistance through emails, support tickets on the partner site, and various channels, including community forums and online resources, but I've been unable to find a resolution. The online partner documentation mentions options for scheduling an appointment or contacting support, but these options appear to be disabled or unavailable for account issues.
I kindly request your immediate attention to this matter. Please review my application and provide a clear explanation for the ongoing delay in the employment verification process. Additionally, please advise on the next steps required to move forward with my partnership application.- HFHTWSep 17, 2024Brass ContributorIn case of the Hardware Program:
Microsoft made "partners" buy the EV Certificate, and finally some of their so called "partners" cannot use it due to bugs in the system. The EV certificates are timely limited.
Microsoft owes us the time that the certificate cannot be used (we had to pay for that, and for sure Microsoft - Microsofts employees also get its share from that), and products cannot be sold accordingly.
So Microsoft has set up this situation - before cross signing was required everything was okay, and now Microsoft is not delivering to customers and damages their business.
How about Microsoft will dump all that cross certificate requirement until Microsoft is able to provide a workable system? Let the users sign the drivers themselves again - it's more safe than relying on a non trustful organisation which doesn't have their processes under control (in that case Microsoft) and isn't even able to communicate that properly.
Requiring "customers" to have their information sorted in a way that Microsoft can understand while Microsoft isn't even able to have their own system under control is absolute nonsense.
Who is in charge about that?
Who set up this path at Microsoft?
That guy should be "released" from that company and look for another job!

After waiting for a week, I received this reply. And the ticket was immediately closed, without giving me any chance for discussion, just like last time!
Thank you for your interest in <Program>. In reviewing your account, we have found that you do not meet Microsoft standards for eligibility. I am unable to provide any additional detail and I will be archiving this ticket.
What I can confirm is that the company name on the domain certificate provided by the domain service provider matches the company name on the current account. I really want to know what the Microsoft standards are.
I feel desperate about this Partner application process. Please help me.

jiahuaxu I'm sorry to say there is nothing to be done at this point. The team found your business didn't meet the requirements to become a partner. They don't share why, so it's hard to know what you need to change to become eligible. If you submit a new support ticket, they will only tell you the same.
I'm sorry, there is nothing more you can do. 😞
