RDS 2022 CALs in Action Pack
Hi,
I'm an Action Pack subscriber and am considering migrating my Essentials 2016 server to Server 2022. I use RD Gateway quite a bit, so I'll need the RDS role. Action Pack has licenses for Server 2022, but only has RDS CALs for 2019. Why the discrepancy? How do I get RDS 2022 CALs through Action Pack?
BTW Google, Bing, and Yahoo all index a previous discussion about this, but I can no longer find it on the board. Was it removed, or am I not understanding how to find Partner Community content?
Thanks,
Mark Berry
mcbsys I have received this back from the team:
"RDS 2022 CALs are not included with Action Pack. I have noted their feedback."
Sorry it's not better news.

"RDS 2022 CALs are not included with Action Pack" - that we all see.
... but will it be attached soon? ... or never - mcbsysCopper ContributorJill,
Thanks for trying. Sure wish there was some insight into the purpose and vision of Action Pack. I thought the idea was for partners to "dog-food" the latest products. In fact, there used to be a clause in the Internal Use Rights that you had a year to upgrade to each new OS after it was released. Ah yes, here it is in the 2017 "Action Pack Product Usage Guide":
"The intent of the Microsoft Partner Network is to showcase the latest Microsoft software technology. Licenses granted to partners are for the latest released versions of Microsoft software only. Licenses do not provide downgrade rights. Refer to the software update table for a complete list of retired products and grace periods. You have 12 months from the effective date to upgrade internal-use software to newer versions."

mcbsys Hello!
The old site has been archived and the links have been redirected to our new site, that is why your link isn't working. Search engines are still catching up with the changes.
As far as your quesion, I am hoping someone can chime in here with some knowledge around this. I have reaching out internally to see if I can get an answer for you as well.
