Charging VAT on the renewal process
Dear community,
I hope you are all doing great!
We are an Ind. Provider in CSP located in Greece (EU) and we would like to highlight a query coming from our partners/resellers.
More specifically, our resellers would like to understand why Microsoft charged VAT on the renewal amount of the Action pack. Is the tax going to be refunded due to intra-Community transactions or has something changed in the billing process?
Thank you in advance for your prompt reply on this matter that bothers our partners who require our immediate response.
Best regards,
Nick

Hi nick_Anag

Since VAT = value added tax exemption, there is no VAT charge. To clarify, do you mean that taxes were charged at renewal?
If so, here are some points to consider:
Did you submit the VATID after the account was setup? If so, when the VATID is submitted after account setup, your invoices prior to that request won't have a VAT ID stamped on the invoice PDF, and you will be charges on your next billing cycle. In this case, you'll need to update your account by following the steps in the link below.
The link below shows the steps to add or update your VATID - Understand taxes and credits - Partner Center | Microsoft Learn
Did you file a tax exemption for each CSP tenant? You must file for each CSP tenant -Regional taxes and tax exemptions - Partner Center | Microsoft Learn
If you still require assistance, please request support through Partner Center for your further assistance with taxes and please allow two weeks for Microsoft to contact you with a resolution or response for your issue per the following instructions - Submit withholding tax - Partner Center | Microsoft Learn.
Note: I've moved your post to the Partner Benefits community since your question is regarding Microsoft Action Pack.
