Azure sponsorship and cost management challenge
- May 13, 2026
Hrvoje Kusulja This is the teams response:
We are currently transitioning customers to a newer Sponsorship experience where Azure Sponsorship credits and usage can be viewed directly in Cost Management.
As a quick way to check which experience you are currently using, please visit microsoftazuresponsorships.com/usage. If your usage is only visible there, you are likely using the previous Sponsorship platform.
In the newer Sponsorship experience, you can view Sponsorship credit usage directly in Cost Management by navigating to Billing Profiles and then Payment Methods. This experience also enables access to additional Cost Management capabilities and reporting features.
If you are currently using the previous Sponsorship platform, access to the newer experience typically occurs when a new Sponsorship is provisioned or redeemed.
I want to know too, but doubt it'll happen 😅
Commenting to get updated when more info is share.
Cheers,
Martijn
Hrvoje Kusulja Gabbe_Yttermalm MartijnElfers I have sent this inquiry to the team again, holding for a response.

Thanks for the update and for checking with the team on this.
Do you know if (and when) the newer Azure Sponsorship experience—specifically the integration with Azure Cost Management—will be available for Partner Benefits Azure bulk credit Sponsorships under the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program?
At the moment, many of these bulk credit Sponsorship subscriptions still appear to be on the legacy platform (only accessible via microsoftazuresponsorships.com), which limits visibility (no per-resource costs, budgets, or alerts).
It would be really helpful to understand:
- Whether Partner Benefits bulk credits are included in the transition
- If there is an expected timeline or roadmap for this migration
- Whether renewal/re-provisioning of these benefits will move tenants to the new experience
Appreciate any clarification you can share!
Thanks again for your help

BVGorp this is what they came back with:
Yes we will be starting to move the MAICPP programs to the newer sponsorship experience starting around late summer early Fall.

Thanks again for the update and for keeping us in the loop—really appreciated.
Totally understand that these kinds of transitions take time, though it’s a bit unfortunate it’s taking this long, especially with the recent change to the personal Azure subscription via VSE Benefits with the $150 budget. That shift makes cost visibility and control even more important in practice.
For partners working with bulk credits through Partner Benefits, having access to the full Azure Cost Management capabilities (like per-resource insights, budgets, and alerts) would really make a big difference. It would help a lot with keeping things under control and using the credits in a more effective and responsible way.
Thanks again for checking with the team and sharing updates!
