Won't send and receive automatically
I wonder if one of you gurus could help with this problem. The Outlook symbol on my taskbar has suddenly developed a small Red Cross in in the bottom right hand corner. It now suddenly will not send or receive emails automatically, which it did do previously. It will, however, send and receive if I click the appropriate send and receive symbol.
Has anyone had this problem and, if so, how did you cure it? Many thanks for your anticipated help.

You're most likely in Offline Mode then.
Select the Send/Receive tab and click on the "Work Offline" button. It should then no longer be in a selected state either (but note that the Work Offline button always has the same icon with a globe and a red cross in it, no matter whether it is enabled or not).
