Transferring Calandar from Outlook Classic to New Outlook?
Can this be done or not?
Just hangs if I try...
While I'm asking....
Loaded Outlook Classic on a new laptop, now cant set a reminder in the calendar, and existing calendar entry reminders dont come up? Why Not, how strange!!
So I'm stuck, cant transfer my very highly populated calendar to the new outlook and cant get reminders in the classic version.

Auto-sync on Microsoft Outlook calendars if you are using the same account in both versions.
Check on reminder notifications in your Outlook if you are seeing the same reminder, or if disabled by default in new installations.

You can transfer your calendar from Outlook Classic to New Outlook by syncing your account. Just sign in to the same Microsoft account in the new Outlook, and your calendar will automatically appear if it’s cloud-based (Exchange or Outlook.com). If your calendar is saved locally in a PST file, you may need to import it first in Classic Outlook and then sync it to the account. Microsoft has designed the new Outlook to automatically sync mail, contacts, and calendar once the account is added, so manual transfer is usually not needed unless data is stored offline.
