this file cannot be previewed because there is no previewer installed for it.
I keep getting this error message when i try to preview a zip file in outlook. it does not happen to pdf files , its happening with xml files.
i have followed a bunch of troubleshooting guides on google one of them is this This file cannot be previewed because of an error in Outlook (thewindowsclub.com),
but nothing has fixed it!
Anybody has had the same issue and successfully resolved it please let me know.

You can not preview any content within a zip file. You must download it first and extract all files.
The documentation you referenced did not mention zip files. The instructions were for Office applications.
