MS doesn't seem to care about this problem. It has been happening as far back as 2016 and possibly before. It is not only annoying but frustrating after spending time to compose a carefully considered reply to an issue to find that it cannot be sent with one click, but requires copying and pasting into another new email before sending. I am changing to a rival email program today. I have had enough of paying to have my time wasted.

i read somewhere in OUTLOOK help that it was due to using OUTLOOK 2016 with Microsoft 365. However I have only fairly recently encountered this problem. I found that saving the email to the default folder, reopening it , that I can then send it without retyping .
