Smtp connections to Outlook being refused
Over the last 4 or 5 days, SMTP connections to outlook have been refused from two different 3rd party mail apps - Thunderbird and Mailspring.
The failures are described as "Time out", "Authenticatoon error" or "connection refused".
It had worked happily for years, and nothing at my end changed, except that my Windows 11 did an update.
Anyone else having issues?
What can I do?

o test, I tried setting up an account on mobile using mobile data, because a few years ago I had a similar problem with my internet connection (my IP was on a blacklist)
