Send email merge from Shared Mailbox?
Hey everyone!
We use email merge (Word & Outlook) all the time, and it's a huge timesaver. We recently went to use it from a SHARED mailbox and cannot for the life of use figure out how to do it.
So far, I've tried:
1) Changing the shared mailbox to the "default" account (there doesn't seem to be a way to do it)
2) Setting up a new profile with JUST the shared mailbox (also doesn't seem to be a way to do it)
Is there a way to send an email merge FROM a shared mailbox?
- Both of the methods you mentioned above should do, however they both require you to configure the Shared mailbox as additional account first. To do that, you need Full access permissions, and to follow the steps here: https://www.michev.info/blog/post/3567/how-to-add-a-shared-mailbox-as-additional-account-in-outlook-2022-version

I am trying to do a similar thing, we do not have direct access to the shared mailbox, we use azure tenancy, and office 365 which means we can't configure this was, I am sure there is a way Microsoft can add a "from email" address to the mail merge system?
we use locked down PC's and accounts so unable to "create a profile" as we dont have permission to do so, or have a direct logon into the shared mailbox as its a "SHARED" mailbox not a unique mailbox that has been shared with others.
I would be grateful if you can provide assistance with this and hopefully Microsoft will add the facilities to select a mailbox or email address in the merge system.
Thanks in advance
Pete
