Report Message Add-In & App Registration creation in AAD App Registrations

Dear all,

 

I'd like to ask regarding the automatic creation of an App Registration in Azure AD, once you enable the Report Message Add-In on the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

 

It seems that when you deploy the specific Add-In a new App Registration is created, titled "Report Message".

 

What is the purpose of this App Registration and why is it created?

    I'm not seeing this, and I do have the add-in deployed, though it might be due to difference in the method used. Can you share a screenshot of the app registration properties?

      Let me know if you'd like any additional information. The App Registration was created when I added the Add-In via the https://admin.microsoft.com/AdminPortal/Home#/Settings/AddIns page.
