Outlook search (Office 365) is not showing recent emails in Windows 11. This is a well know issue and documented by Microsoft in KB5008212, where it says: "The Windows Team is currently estimating that this issue will be fixed in the March 15th, 2022, Windows Public Updates. If that changes, we will update this topic with further information. In the meantime, please use the Outlook Temporary Workaround documented below. For Windows guidance on the issue see this topics :"https://docs.microsoft.com/windows/release-health/status-windows-11-21h2#2778msgdescI'm afraid that this deadline passed 10 days ago, and no updates have been announced. Searching in Outlook still does not work for me for IMAP and POP e-mail accounts, even with the "workaround" suggested, which obviously renders Outlook far less useful. May we know when Microsoft will solve this serious issue?

MikeB112 Actually, it was fixed on March 15th as promised when they released KB5011563. However, this first went out to the Beta and Release Preview Channels. This update is now available in the "regular" Release Channel for Windows 11 as well via Windows Update.

RobertSparnaaij Many thanks Robert, However the latest automatic update I have received from Microsoft was dated March 9, 2022 so I have not yet seen any signs of release KB5010563 of March 15, 2022. Can you please direct me to how I can perform an immediate update based on this release?Thanks againMikael

MikeB112 It looks to be still in a staged roll-out phase. If you want it now, switching your computer to the Release Preview Channel will make sure you get it now. Start-> Settings-> Windows Update-> Windows Insider Program-> Choose your Insider settings-> Release Preview.

Thanks again. I successfully updated with release KB5011563. I switched off the "Outlook Temporary Workaround" and for good measure I started reindexing in Windows 11 on March 25, 2022. After more than 2 days the indexing seems to be going nowhere. The "items remaining to be indexed" in Outlook keeps going up and has now slowed down around 95,000 items. Windows 11 ("Searching Windows - indexing status") reports "Indexed": 21,000 (slowing down) and "Pending": 200,000 (increasing). So, after the PC has worked on re-indexing for more than 48 hours straight, Outlook still cannot perform searching within my IMAP account. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance for advice to get my Outlook searching again, which is essential for me. - Mikael

MikeB112 I have the same experience just updated, disabled the workaround and rebuilt index but search is still not working.
