Outlook Meeting Duplication and Removal Issue || 365 Outlook

When I accept an Outlook meeting, it gets duplicated in my calendar. I end up with two instances of the same meeting—one marked as accepted and the other not accepted. When I accept the duplicated meeting, it doesn't duplicate further but remains marked as accepted. Additionally, when the meeting organizer cancels the meeting and I try to remove it from my calendar via the Outlook app (by clicking 'Remove from my calendar'), the meeting doesn't get removed. However, if I do this from Outlook Web, the meeting is successfully removed and also the duplicated one.

I would be glad for some help here thank you!

One of our users is also getting this issue, and it's turned up in the last few days. They are accessing another user's calendar that they have permissions on, and when accepting an item it duplicates that item on that calendar.

Also for items that were created by them on the other users' calendar, when they try to go and delete the item they can't but as Jonathan above, they can make the changes and it works in OWA.

      I fixed the issue!
I did the next steps in the classic Outlook (Windows):
      1. Exit Outlook and Skype for Business.
      2. From the Start menu, choose Run.
      3. In the Run window, type this path in the Open box "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Outlook\"
      Click OK
      4. Find the .ost file and rename or delete it (you may need to Show Hidden Files and Show Extensions to see the file)
      5. Remove the following files: any .xml files, any .nst files
      6. Open the RoamCache folder and delete all items
      7. Open the HubAppFileCache folder and delete all items
      8. Open the Offline Address Books folder and delete all items
      9. Open the 16 folder and delete all items
      10. Restart Outlook
