Outlook for Mac missing ToDo

Since a recent update, our Mac clients don't have any way to view ToDo or Tasks in the New Outlook.
The tasks don't show in the My Day/Task pane, nor do we have a ToDo Icon ion the left sidebar like users of New Outlook on Windows do. Accessing OWA is now the only way for users to see tasks/flagged emails, but very much not the preferred solution since there IS a desktop client which should do that.

Microsoft® Outlook for Mac

Version 16.105 (26011018)

This is a serious usability issue, is this really a design decision or some sort of an issue?

As of Jan 2026, New Outlook for Mac still lacks full Microsoft To Do integration: no sidebar icon, no tasks/flagged emails in the My Day/Task pane (it's just a calendar agenda), unlike Windows.

Flagged emails sync to To Do, but you have to view/manage them separately.

    Best workarounds right now:

    • Download the free Microsoft To Do app from the Mac App Store – it syncs everything perfectly (flagged mails as tasks, My Day, etc.).
    • If available in your build, revert to Legacy/Classic Outlook: Help menu > Revert to Legacy Outlook (note: legacy support ends Oct 2026 for Exchange Online, so this is a temporary fix).
    • Use outlook.office.com in a browser for the full To Do experience.

Microsoft is aware of the issue (based on numerous feedback threads) – continue voting on requests in their community to increase

priority. Share your version/build for more specific tips if needed! 😕
