Outlook for Mac inserts signatures at the very end of an email chain

It seems that it only happens when Outlook adds the signature itself: Third party tools like https://set-outlooksignatures.com with the Benefactor Circle add-on need to use the official API to add signatures, and there have been no known placement issues in the last months.
It seems there is an internal and an external API for the same purpose.
