I noticed that I was not getting email for one of my 5 connected accounts. I decided to try deleting and adding back that one account. As soon as I deleted that one connected account, all of my connected accounts went away and the option to add a connected account is gone.

The part about the option disappearing when all of the accounts are removed is how its always worked since they killed the feature. When the last account is removed, the option is gone.
But... in the past, as long as one account existed, you had the feature. Deleting 1 = delete all is new and unexpected.

I wouldn't update anything at this point. I was updating a Gmail account with an app password when mine disappeared.
But, we have Microsoft 365 family, and supposedly, connected accounts for this plan has not been removed. Microsoft answers/tech/help site never mention that, but Microsoft plan features does. That makes WAY more sense - what use would a non-business user have for an email client that only facilitates a single outlook address? I'm guessing bigger businesses are using network exchange setups beyond outlook on the web.
Be nice to have some clarification on that. Are connected accounts for non-business plans a current feature, a thing of the past, perpetually or temporarily grandfathered? As it is, seems touch anything and you'll never see any of them again.
