Outlook 365 suddenly won't open

Hello; Outlook worked this morning, now it won't open, says to open in Safe Mode, but that doesn't work, tries to open for 5 seconds than nothing. Restarted PC and no help. Please advise! Steven F 603

Same issue for me.  I updated Office this morning in an attempt to fix the problem but it didn't help.  Steven_F_603

DanFriendly  I have had luck with some clients by starting Outlook in Safe Mode, by either adding /safe to the shortcut or holding down the control key while clicking it.

Reporting 3 impacted clients starting this AM, two of which with multiple affected machines.  Starts to load then disappears without a message.

Ok so tried downgrading my O365 Current Channel v2006 Build 13001.20384 to Build 13001.20266 (the build working fine on my other laptop which has not installed the July patches yet!).
        Outcome: Outlook still crashing....

Meanwhile installed the July patches on my laptop (Windows 10 v2004 Build 19041.329), rebooted, started Outlook and works like a charm.
Now downloading the O365 Current Channel update to 13001.20384... see if I can break it.

Thank you. We started rolling this quick fix and it does work. Just waiting for MS to patch the actual problem.

We are having the same issue reported from multiple users.  ~School District in California

Did your computer recently install updates?  If so, which ones?

Joshua BowersSame issue with Outlook. Two updates ran today, one after the issue began, the other likely before. 2020-07 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64 (KB4565633) is the last update listed in the history so I assume it ran after the issue began.

2020-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64 based Systems (KB4565483) is listed next, and I believe it ran prior to my trying to open Outlook, but I can't guarantee it.

Same problem, 50% of our computers at work.  If anyone has a suggestion, we'd appreciate it.
