Outlook 365 searchbar help

Hello,

If im using the searchbar to search for 1234 but in the message its written PO1234, the searchbar wont be able to find it..

Is there a wildcard I can use in the search bar ?

Or is there any way that searching for 1234 will find PO1234 too ?

Thanks !

*Sorry for maybe being unclear, english is not my main language..

  • Hi PAGauthier,

In Outlook 365, you have the option to perform suffix wildcard searches using an asterisk (*). For instance, if you're looking for words starting with "car," you can type car* in the search bar.

Outlook does not support prefix wildcard searches (e.g., *car) or substring wildcard searches (e.g., *car*).
This means that a search for "1234" won't include results like "PO1234."

Unfortunately, Outlook lacks a built-in feature for using wildcards in the manner you described.
