OFFICE 2026
I have just installed OFFICE 2024 on a new laptop, replacing my sick old laptop that had OFFICE 2019.
I still seem to prompted to buy or us OFFICE 365?
Does the "this product will not be updated just refer to 365 and not my 2024.
Still trying to make sense of the new OUTLOOK!
Also One Drive - it has installed a folder with my initials and does not seem happy about it but I cannot rename it?

It refers to Office 2024 as that is currently installed and activated.
It is not trying to sell you anything, but it is notifying you that you have turned off automatic updates.
File-> Account-> Update Options-> Enable UpdatesStill trying to make sense of the new OUTLOOK!
Classic Outlook is included with your Home and Business licence as well. You can run Classic Outlook and New Outlook side-by-side to get used to New Outlook and/or wait until any of your favorite missing features becomes available before you switch. There is no rush as Classic Outlook remains supported for at least the length of Office 2024 support (which ends in October 2029).

The sync issues don't refer to the folder with your initials (which is your user folder based on your username) but indicates that you need to unlock Personal Vault (an additionally secured folder within OneDrive) before you can sync its contents. Click on the button to unlock.
The other sync error refers to an old shortcut to Personal Vault which you should remove.
The first step is to separate your Office 2024 license from Microsoft 365 prompts and the new Outlook experience. In Word, open File, Account and confirm Product Information says Office 2024 and Activated. Office 2024 receives security and quality updates, but not the continuing feature additions included with Microsoft 365; that is what no-new-features wording normally describes. A purchase prompt may come from a preinstalled Microsoft 365 trial, so capture its exact text before changing anything. If classic Outlook is included in your edition, you can switch back from new Outlook while the toggle is available. For OneDrive, do not rename an active synchronization root in File Explorer. Determine whether it is a personal or work account. You can unlink and relink to choose another location; a work account’s organization name may require an administrator policy and relinking. Please post the exact OneDrive warning if that does not resolve it.
