New Outlook Saving all Attachments

Some of our users have switched to New Outlook and when saving "All Attachments" of 2 or more files they are saved in a zip file and causing issues for users having to unzip before they can interact with the files.

On reading around I can see that this cannot be switched off at the moment.

The only work around would be to save files 1 at a time or switch back to classic outlook. Switching back to classic outlook is not really an option because the user went to new outlook because of performance issues.

Is there a suggestions area I can submit a request to have the save all attachments to work like it did in classic outlook.

  • Hi IanDuncalf

You are taking the correct approach; give Microsoft the feedback. You can access the following feedback portals.

    • Option 1: While in Outlook, select View | Help | Feedback.
    • Option 2: Press the Windows Key and F.
    • Option 3: Visit the Feedback Hub website. Others can vote on your suggestion.
Outlook · Feedback Portal. If you choose this method, post your link in this thread for others to vote.

If you find this information helpful, mark it as the best solution.

  • The above explained behaviour is not only for saving more than one file in Outlook. I just experienced the same behaviour in downloading several documents to my computer from sharepoint.
