navigation bar moved to left
Dears,
The navigation bar has been moved to the left. How can I change it back to be on the bottom?

- rickr214Copper ContributorIf you go to File > Options > Advanced > uncheck Show Apps in Outlook, this will remove the left pane. Note that this will also remove the quick links to other apps in that pane, but for me, that was just fine https://www.msoutlook.info/question/outlook-navigation-pane-on-the-left
- JSB_caCopper ContributorIn the Outlook Options menu under Advanced: under the heading Outlook Panes (at the top under Advanced), deselect "Show Apps in Outlook". This returned the menu to the bottom for me.
- Cegid2701Copper Contributor1. Open the Outlook desktop app.
 2. Click File, then Options.
 3. In the window that opens, select Advanced.
 4. Under the Outlook Panes section, uncheck the box that says "Show apps in Outlook."
 5. Click "OK" to close the box, then click "OK" on the prompt that tells you to restart Outlook.
 6. Close Outlook, then reopen it.

- seohananeCopper ContributorHello all, just suffered from this too. Now there is a way easier option to remove the new bar, and switch back to the buttons in the bottom. it's all explained in this help article: You have to go to "options", then uncheck "display apps in outlook". You will be prompted to restart outlook. You should do it and then everything will be back to original format.

- Rick1957Copper ContributorThis worked for me!! How do I move Outlook shortcuts to the bottom of the screen? How to get the bottom navigation bar back in Microsoft Outlook - Open the Outlook desktop app.
- Click File, then Options.
- In the window that opens, select Advanced.
- Under the Outlook Panes section, uncheck the box that says "Show apps in Outlook."

- lfredericksCopper Contributor- Enable Outlook. Click File > Options > Advanced.
- Uncheck the Show Apps in Outlook option under the Outlook panes.
- Click the OK button to finish the set up.
- A prompt box pops up, reminding you that you must restart this application for the changes to take effect. Click OK.

- LjbTronCopper ContributorI had the same problem with Outlook 365. What I ended up doing was switching off "Show Apps In Outlook" in File>Options>Advanced and accepting to restart outlook and then manually closing and reopening outlook. Once outlook has reopened, the navigation bar with calendar, contacts ..etc will be back at the bottom. If for whatever reason the bar jumps back to the left hand pane when using outlook. You can click on the small Mail icon to revert back to the email view, click on the expand > button Click on the Pin Folder Pane icon and the calendar, contacts bar will be back to its normal position Enjoy 🙂 - DemonI81Copper ContributorThis is the only thing that works, thank you!

- John_Bear2235Copper ContributorGo to File > Options > Advanced and untick "Show Apps in Outlook". This will restore the navigation bar to its old place. MBZ1_
