navigation bar moved to left
Dears,
The navigation bar has been moved to the left. How can I change it back to be on the bottom?

MBZ1_ - I found a solution that worked for me: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/outlook-global-customer-service/new-location-for-the-mail-calendar-people-and-other-modules/ba-p/3596278
File -> Options -> Advanced -> Unselect "Show Apps in Outlook"
This requires you to reboot outlook.

I have reset mine (somehow) by unticking this option.

MBZ1_ does anybody know how to correct this on the Mac version of Outlook, I am on Outlook 365 version 16.71.2 and all the solutions are for Windows based Outlook, so any assistance on how to move that bar back to the bottom on the Mac version would be greatly appreciated!

Makensanph0211 THANK YOU! You made my day! I hate when they force changes on us and it is not obvious on how to "fix" it.
- DevFixerCopper ContributorI HATE the navigation bar on the left side. I don't care if it looks like Teams. it's not. I value my screen real estate and now it takes up 1/2 of space on the entire left side and only uses vertically 3 inches of it and the rest is white space.
at the bottom of the folder pane it took up a measly 1/3 of an inch by 3 inches. it was innocuos and out of the way. I am grateful that
MikeP75CH provided these steps
Follow these steps:
1. File -> Options -> Advanced
2. Uncheck "Show Apps in Outlook"
3. Restart Outlook
The original/old navigation bar returns. It did! - Ninja_KreativCopper ContributorThis had me really bothered. This solution should work - Go to Options > Advanced > Uncheck "Show Apps in Outlook" and then restart your Outlook for it to take effect.

MBZ1_ found a fix to your issue.
goto file - options - Advanced and disable the show apps in outlook option. it will put the calendar/notes bar at the bottom left

Guys, for those of you for which the workaround found here doesn't work, Microsoft has just added the option to turn this off. Go to options/advanced and untick the "show apps in Outlook checkbox". I'm not sure if this was available when this thread was opened or added after based on feedback from users, but you can do that now. I suspect they did this because they wanted to make Outlook have the same design as Teams. If you look in teams the calendar and everything else are on a band on the left side. Took me 30 seconds to discover it, I was super lucky it usually takes me forever.

Considering the thread started in Mar 09 2022 05:49 AM and the checkbox in Options was added in late November 2022, it was added due to feedback. ☺️
