Mail & Calendar Apps Will Be Replaced with New Outlook for Windows December 2024

I have been banging against the wall for 3 months to make the New Outlook work with IMAP account. For some reason it synchronises e-mails only until Aug 2024. With Mail And Calendar all gets synchronised properly, but due to enforced policy next time you run it it will switch to New Outlook and ... I am back in the square one. Anybody at MS to look into this, please?
While I recommend trying other email apps - Thunderbird or eM client are my recommendations but there are others - you could try the steps here: How do you permanently turn off new outlook? - Microsoft Community to go back to windows mail.
But note: Mail will be removed from the Microsoft store and once it is gone, you won't be able to repair or reinstall it.
