Mail & Calendar Apps Will Be Replaced with New Outlook for Windows December 2024
Teresa_Cyrus Hello, while using the new Outlook and comparing functionality I miss one I regularly use fom the locally intallad version.
In the native Outlook client one can send a mailmesage with the option to add it you the recipients task/calendar in the past so when it arrives in their mailbox it will show in thick red tekst and also provide a pop up to the user like you have the annouchement of an appointment.
This is regularly used by our users to give extra attention to a message other than the functio we also have of high priority.
This functionality is now managed via the To-Do Application.
You can drag an email to the Task list, open the To Do, and share the task with a person.
You can create task list groups for better organization.
I will create a video on this. Check back next week.

Teresa_Cyrus I can't open live mail so this is mute. I've sent in my concerns over and over and have heard nothing so what good is this without mail. My calendar doesn't work well either.

You mentioned that you have a Live.com account. MS has recently made some security changes that impact Outlook.com, Hotmail, and Live accounts, preventing users from logging in. Users must take action before September 16th. I have two videos with the details and resources that may help you with your issues.
