How to Disable Outlook from Previewing PDF Attachments

I'm on Outlook version 1.2023.526.100 (Production).

Client Version is 20230519010.07 .

When clicking on a preview to look at a pdf file, Outlook brings up it's own preview program. I need to revert back to the Adobe pdf preview because the Outlook preview doesn't give me the 11x17 option.
Please advise.
Thank

The default settings in Windows 10 can be used to set Adobe Acrobat as the default app for PDF files. Here are the exact steps:

    1. Click on the Windows Start menu and select "Settings" (the gear icon).
    2. In the Windows Settings, click on "Apps."
    3. Select "Default apps" in the left menu.
    4. Scroll down and click on "Choose default apps by file type."
    5. Scroll down in the list until you find ".pdf."
    6. Click on the current default app next to ".pdf" (likely currently set to "Microsoft Edge" or "Reader") and select "Adobe Acrobat Document" from the list of available apps.
    7. Close the Settings.

After following these steps, Adobe Acrobat should be set as the default app to open PDF files in Windows 10. Outlook will adopt these settings and open PDF attachments with Adobe Acrobat.

As an additional option, you can also insert the Adobe AddIn in the Edge, which allows the Adobe preview in the Edge and at the same time has a button where, if desired, it opens in Adobe Reader.

Here is the step-by-step process to insert the Adobe Add-In in Microsoft Edge:

    1. Open Microsoft Edge on your computer.
    2. Click on the three dots menu button in the top-right corner of the Edge window.
    3. Select "Extensions" from the dropdown menu.
    4. Click on "Manage Extensions" at the bottom of the Extensions menu.
    5. Scroll down until you find "Adobe Acrobat" listed under the "Call Extensions for Microsoft Edge" section.
    6. Click on "Get" to retrieve the Adobe Acrobat extension.
    7. Click on "Add extension" to install the Adobe Acrobat extension in Edge.
    8. Once the extension is installed, you can fine-tune any necessary settings within the extension.

After following these steps, the Adobe Acrobat Add-In will be inserted into Microsoft Edge. This will enable the Adobe PDF preview within Edge, and you will also have the option to open the PDF in Adobe Reader by clicking on the appropriate button within the Add-In.

For default apps by file type, it should show Adobe as the default program in those file types.

It should actually be these steps

        1. Open Outlook on your computer.
        2. Go to the "File" tab in the top left corner.
        3. Select "Options" from the left-hand menu. This will open the Outlook Options window.
        4. In the Outlook Options window, select "Trust Center" from the left-hand menu.
        5. Click on the "Trust Center Settings" button on the right-hand side.
        6. In the Trust Center window, select "Attachment Handling" from the left-hand menu.
        7. Uncheck the box that says "Turn off Attachment Preview" or similar option.
        8. Click on "OK" to save the changes and close the Trust Center window.
        9. Close the Outlook Options window.

After following these steps, Outlook should no longer preview PDF attachments
