Help deleting emails

Hi, On Outlook web,  how do I sort my emails by the 'amount of emails' by each sender? is this possible? So I can delete tranches of junk and free up space.

I've been doing it manually but sorting by name, but it's very slow progress.

Thanks in advance!

In Outlook on the web, you can use the "Group by Conversation" feature to sort your emails by sender and easily identify emails from specific senders. Here's how you can do it:

    1. Log in to Outlook on the web: Go to outlook.office.com and log in with your credentials.
    2. Navigate to your Inbox: Click on the "Mail" icon to access your Inbox.
    3. Group by Conversation: At the top of your email list, you should see a button labeled "Sort by". Click on it and select "Group by Conversation" from the dropdown menu.
    4. Sort by Sender: Once you've grouped your emails by conversation, you'll notice that each sender's emails are grouped together. You can expand each group to see all the emails from that sender.
    5. Delete Emails: Now that your emails are grouped by sender, you can easily identify and select groups of emails from specific senders that you want to delete. You can click on the checkbox next to each email or select the checkbox at the top to select all emails in a group. Then, click on the "Delete" button to delete the selected emails.

By grouping your emails by conversation and sorting them by sender, you can quickly identify and delete tranches of junk emails to free up space in your mailbox. This method can be much faster and more efficient than manually sorting through your emails one by one. The text was created with the help of AI.

I can't find a way to collapse the conversations into groups. Also I don't think this would help as I believe it won't tell me how many emails are in each group and I can't order by this? Is there a way to export a .csv type file for the email titles/sender so I can work it out in a spreadsheet? thanks

So far, I know and search in the web, there isn't a direct option within Outlook on the web to export emails to a CSV file. You may need to explore one of the above methods or consider alternative approaches to achieve your goal.

Here are some thinks what you can try:

Use Email Client: You can configure your Outlook account in an email client application like Microsoft Outlook (desktop version) or Mozilla Thunderbird. Once configured, you can export emails from these clients to a CSV file.

Third-Party Tools: There are third-party tools available that can help you export emails from Outlook on the web to a CSV file. These tools often provide additional features and customization options. Third party tools like Kutools for Outlook, CodeTwo Email Export, the products are only as a example you can find many others searching the internet.

Manual Method: Although it's more time-consuming, you can manually copy and paste email content into a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. This method may not be practical for a large number of emails but can work for smaller sets of data.
