Clear Search/Filter  and Check All Mail/Spam/Trash and Reset Inbox Type to Default

    Hi Brad_k295,

Here are some potential steps (options) that might help:

    1. Adjust View Settings:
The view settings, such as filters, could be causing the issue. To change this, select the Inbox folder, go to the View tab, and click View Settings. In the pop-up window, click Filter, and then click clear views (filters).

    2. Check Junk Email Folder:
Ensure that emails aren't wrongly marked as junk.

    3. Review Deleted Items Folder:
If emails were accidentally deleted, they might be in the Deleted Items folder. Right-click on the email, select Move > Inbox to restore it.

    4. Use Send/Receive for Synchronization:
Navigate to the Send/Receive tab, click Send/Receive All Folders, and allow it some time to synchronize.

      hello, everyone,

LeonPavesic- what is attempting to be addressed here is the "Inbox" represented on the Microsoft community page, which the user typically accesses here:

      https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/inbox

I am mentioning this because, as of now, April 26, 2025, I am experiencing the same issue that the original contributor Brad_k295 was experiencing - The inbox shows that I have 79 unread messages in the upper right corner icon representing mail, but, upon accessing the inbox page at the link represented above, no individual messages are displayed.  I don't believe either Brad nor myself are experiencing an Outlook related issue.

Thank you for everyone's ongoing attention to this.

I'm experiencing a similar(possible the exact same) issue with Outlook.

I'm using the Webpage version(outlook.live.com) to access my Hotmail account and I'm unable to see emails that I know are present in my Inbox.

I can see they are present when checking my email from my phone so they are in fact in the Inbox but do not show up on my PC.

I get a brief view of them when I click on "From" "Subject" or "Received" to re-order the list, they flash on screen then vanish.

I've had this occur a few times over the past few weeks and it seems related to any email with an Attachment on it. If I remove any email from the inbox that has an attachment(via my phone) it all works properly, however when an email with an Attachment is present the problem persists.

        Thank you,
