Changing the 'From' address
Using Outlook Professional 2010: I recently received an email from a person I know, but for some odd reason, the name that appears in the From field is garbage. Here is what I am seeing:
From: Nonsense name <real@email_address>
I would like to change the nonsense name into the sender's name, but have not been able to figure out how to do this. Please offer suggestions. Thanks.
- Did you ask a sender if they really sent the message with garbage display name?
Victor_Ivanidze- No, but I can do that, But even if he sent the email with the garbage display name, is there any way for me to change it in Outlook?
Hi groston, no you cannot do that natively. In theory you can write a macros or an add-in for that .
