Cannot Open Office 2019 OutLook365

When I opened Office 2019 OutLook365 for the first time I set everything up and explored around a little, the closed.

 

When I went to open it again Outlook image comes up saying loading profile and noting happens.

 

I can minimize or select the X and close. 

 

I have checked Task Manager and there are no other Office Applications running.

 

I have tied both the regular way and in Safe mode with no success.

 

What do I need to do now?

    Since you were able to reproduce the issue in Outlook safe mode (outlook /safe) that means no 3rd party services are contributing with the concern.

     

    It seems like your Outlook (OLK) instance is stuck in authentication with the Exchange Online (EXOL).

     

    IF it is stuck in loading profiles, I'd suggest below configuration then re-open again OLK.

     

    Office apps should be enable for modern auth:

    Go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity

     

    Add DWORD:

     

    "EnableADAL"= 1

     

    OLK should be force in using modern auth:

    Recommend that users force Outlook to use Modern Authentication. To do that, set the DWORD value of the following registry key to 1
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Exchange\AlwaysUseMSOAuthForAutoDiscover

    EXOL should be using modern auth:

    1. To enable modern authentication, go to the admin center at https://admin.microsoft.com.
    2. Choose Settings > Services & add-ins and then choose Modern authentication from the list.
    3. Check the Enable modern authentication box in the Modern authentication panel.

      I am not really sure what I did but after I went to apps/programs and selected Modify Office 2019 it seems to be working.

    If you've tried OLK Safe Mode (outlook /safe) that means no 3rd party interference that is contributing to the issue.

     

    To wit,

    IF OLK (Outlook) is stuck in loading profile, It could be somethings on the authentication of your OLK instance against Exchange Online (EXOL) per past experience.

     

    I'd suggest to ensure below is configured then try to re-open OLK again,

     

    Office 2019 is using modern auth:

    • Go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity

      Add DWORD:

      "EnableADAL"= 1

     

    OLK (Outlook) is using modern auth: 

     

    EXOL is using modern auth:
