adding an Xfinity account in Outlook
When adding an Xfinity account in Outlook, it Keeps coming up:
Enter your user name and password for the following server.
Server: imap.comcast.net
User Name: Email address removed
Password: @@Tikers12
Save password in your password list (checked)
Ok Cancel
CAN'T GET PAST THAT STEP.

Sorry, you are having trouble. I strongly recommend that you remove the password from your original email.
Contact your provider to rule out who is causing the issue. Please update this thread to help others.
- Bright_MeadowCopper ContributorHave you performed this necessary step? In the web browser xfinity interface, you must go to settings, security, and check the box to allow access by a third-party.
I did this months and months ago, and up until Nov 23, 2023, it was working. Suddenly I am having same issue as you describe. Did Microsoft or Xfinity make a change?
