Windows OneDrive folder and file properties
Here some comments how OneDrive in Windows 10 handles this.
Green check = file exists both locally and in the cloud. So you have two copies in sync. If you change one locally, it updates in the cloud.
Unlink = cloud files safe, local files remain, only sync stops. You can still open local files, but they will no longer sync changes.
Browser download resets Modified date; local copy keeps it.
Download from OneDrive online (browser) → The file is re-downloaded as new, so Windows assigns the download time as “Modified.” (This is why you see it “badly” updated.)
Copy from local OneDrive folder to another local folder → Windows keeps the original “Modified” timestamp. (“Good” as you said.)
Across multiple PCs, Modified date is preserved when copying from the OneDrive sync folder.
Hope this helps you

Is this also the one called "Locally available"?

If I unlink, I can't access the OneDriver folder in Windows, I can see it, but I can't access it.
What happens to the data in the OneDrive folder? Does it get deleted from the local folder, or does the data just stay in a restricted folder?

Have you tried it out, and can confirm it?

When I access the Windows OneDrive folder - close the folder - and then access the folder again. The files / bmp. files properties "Accessed" timestamp has been updated.
I only opened the folder, I did not open the files in any way.
Why is the files "Accessed" timestap updated?
Thank you
