Will the date of a photo change when adding it to a folder?
I have never save my photos into folders and want to do this. However, I do not want to lose the original date the photo was taken. Please tell me if it will keep the original date. Thank you! I ...

Seabuck2 I found a solution!
Right click on the photo in the File Explorer location (you can choose multiple photos), choose Properties, select Details, click Date Taken, change the date to correct date (or near estimate). Photos will show as correct date but the time cannot be changed. If you selected multiple photos the time will be the same on all (you can go into Onedrive Photos and edit the time) I name my photos by YMD so easy to know what date to use. Now my photos are the correct year on Onedrive by actual date taken!

While OneDrive doesn't, there are other processes running plus human actions which may alter the date
I recommend adding the date (in YYYYMMDD format) to the file name. Also some image types have internal metadata like EXIF (look it up) that records important date-time info as provided by the image capture device. BMP and GIF are examples of file types that don't have this metadata.
