Unlicensed OneDrive user accounts & retention
With the recent changes to charging for unlicensed OneDrive accounts, we're unable to determine under what scenarios retention will become an issue. For example, if an unlicensed user is under the following retention policy:
Delete items over 7years old - so not retaining
Would that unlicensed account exist in an archived state for 7years or will it be automatically deleted as the policy does not retain any content?

If it's a pure "delete after" policy, it should not affect the workcycle, i.e. the OneDrive will be archived (if you have enabled billing) or moved to Recycle bin. Microsoft should clearly address this in the documentation, as I could only find mention of "retain" policies, so the above is my best guess, I suppose.
