Do you have a local Office Web Apps server setup? Assuming this would be a requirement for this.

- I don’t think 2016 has the thumbnails. This was a new thing the last few years and should be in onedrive 2019.
StephenRice would you by chance know off the top of your head if OneDrive in 2016 had thumbnail rendering on web?
