Sharing OneDrive folder with people without license
It should be possible to share a OneDrive folder with people without a OneDrive license. However, sharing a link only seems to work in the browser, not in file explorer. How to get this functioning...
You need a local mail client that can communicate the share status. If you're using a browser-baser email viewer then you may need to fix your computer's default mailto handler
Both ends use 365 including Exchange Online, the receiving side does not have a OneDrive license but that should not be necessary as I understand.
- That has nothing to do with my question. If you don't have a desktop mail client for OneDrive to use you can't share from Explorer. It doesn't matter what your mail server is.
- Sorry, I was incomplete; both ends use the Outlook desktop client.
