Shared links not downloading for others, just gives error text files
I have been going back and forth with support, they are less than helpful. I have sent videos, confirmed it's not my network, I'm not on a VPN. The support has been maddening, I can' get them to understand that this is happening to multiple people.
happens to me too, surprised to hear this issue arising since feb and its already june now and microsoft have yet to fix this bug.
hope they can resolve this real quick to allow our hasslefree usage. To create zip file is not the best way and its taking alot of time.

Jovail I found trying to send a link from a folder still does not work but if I sign into my one drive online and copy a link from online folder then it works fine.

Matt_Clay We renamed the folders to .old and created new folders with the same name as before and moved all the files from the .old folder to the newly recreated folders. That resolved the issue.

MisbrDesktopSupSpclst i tried this method but still doesnt work.. the only way it worked is when i download it using the corporate account. that way i can download, but when i share it to my personal email, and i attempt to download from my personal email onedrive, its the txt error.
so those who claim that it worked, make sure you are logged out of the corporate account, and using the personal account to download the shared folders.
for my case, if its pdf or jpg or xlx or docs files in the folder i download, i am able to download them, but if the folder has subfolders, then it appears to be txt files. like this. I really hope microsoft can solve this bug ASAP since if it wasnt the case before.
