Shared links not downloading for others, just gives error text files
All of the sudden, any shared links from OneDrive are not allowing people to download the files. It just gives them a .zip of "OneDrive-2024-02-15.zip" that contains 2 text files. The 2 files are "Do...
Same. My solution is to use Dropbox and never, ever rely on Microsoft again.
I found I can zip the files before loading to OneDrive and it works. The reason I use onedrive is I get 1TB of storage and with dropbox I only get 2GB free and then plans start at $10/mth and up from there. So I get 1TB with my Microsoft 365 subscription anyways.
Matt_Clay My clients expect to be able to look at images first and maybe just download one or two as needed. Most download the whole thing, yes. But with a zip uploaded they can't preview. Dropbox is just part of the cost of doing business, I guess, since I can't rely on Microsoft's product working -- this has been going on for weeks and getting worse.
- I agree, I never had a problem last few years until about a month ago. I wish I knew what happened over last month.
